The plan for Saturday was to ride the bikes up to Golden Gate Park around 1pm, for Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, which would give us plenty of time to get the bikes park, meanderthal around, and get to the Towers of Gold stage in plenty of time to see Nick Lowe at 305PM ( Read more... )

Warren Hellman, financier and philanthropist, dies at 77

I saw him play with The Wronglers at Hardly Strictly and at the Bay Area Bluegrass and Old Tyme Festival. I may have spoken to him a few times in my professional capacity. (My agency handles one of his companies.) He was an amazing guy and will be greatly missed.
